It is also important to be aware of the risks and to ensure that children and young people know how to use the Internet safely and responsibly.

Internet safety - or eSafety - is now a required element of the national curriculum in Wales for learners aged 5 to 14.

The National Welsh and Welsh Medium CPD Programme is managed by WJEC on behalf of The Welsh Assembly Government and the Welsh local authorities.

These programmes produce multi-media training resources, arrange five national conferences annually and deliver training sessions in all Welsh local authorities
